IS VULNERABILITY FUNDAMENTAL?

You know that situation where you are getting an evaluation from you boss and he tells you 21 things that you are awesome at, he then tells you that one thing well you know “opportunity of growth?” .and all you can think about is that “Opportunity for growth”.
And it’s like that for everyone, it’s like when you ask people of belonging they will most definitely tell you their most excruciating experience of being excluded.
That’s Vulnerability.
Shame and Fear: It is easily understood as the fear of disconnection, the feeling that there's something about me that if anyone were to see, that I won't be worthy of connection?
Only thing I know about it though is that it's universal and everyone feels it. The only people who don't experience shame have no capacity for human empathy or connection. No one wants to talk about it and the less you talk about it the more you have it.
This thing that underpinned the "I'm not ____ enough" that right there is vulnerability.
We all hate vulnerability. The perception that we are not worthy, this is literally where it all comes down to and so I decided to expand my perception. This thought come from all the courage that was in me. The word courage come from the Latin word "Cor" which means heart.
With my new found expanded perception, I fully decide to embrace my vulnerability and now I feel like a more wholehearted person, it’s like I have the courage to be imperfect, to be kind to myself first and then to others and that you guys, I think this is the power of vulnerability.
I still don't think that vulnerability is comfortable but it isn't excruciating as well, it just feels necessary, its fundamental.
After listening to so many stories from all those famous people, from friends I admire, from teachers I respect, all the stories of joy and many of struggle made me realize that maybe the way to live is with Vulnerability.
Like Brené Brown(Vulnerability researcher, storyteller) said :
"Vulnerability is kind of the core of shame and fear and our struggle for worthiness, but it appears that it’s also the birthplace of joy, of creativity, of belonging, of love."
And I resonate with this part although when she said the above what she said before and after this quote showed me how she was struggling to grasp what she just brought into light for me. It may be the case for you too, you may not know how to embrace your vulnerability, but once you do you will see the Power of Vulnerability and the joy it brings along and the wholeheartedness that you are missing out on.
