LISTEN TO THE VOICES

Why do I languish in confusion about what I want in life? There are days I am sure I am in the right path.
But now I wonder, right path to what.
There was the time I was reading the book “IKIGAI – The Japanese secret to a long life” I learnt this Japanese proverb that roughly translates to
“Only staying active will make you want to live a hundred years.”
Ever since I have learnt this I have started to ask myself this a lot,
“Do I want to live long?”
And to be honest the answer has always been yes.
This in turn helped me figure out that I have always kept myself active participating in whatever amuses me, whether it’s a new interest, an old hobby or a challenge I give myself wherein I’m to conquer whatever is on my way to emerge as eminent as I can be in it.
I’ve had people notice this in me and say how I am in the right path but I now also realize that I am in charge of fabricating this path that seems to be right only because it has a well-built base and the day I stop will become my destination. I also realize what I meant when I ask myself “the path to WHAT”, it’s actually my fault to be asking myself a question so terribly framed and having all the wrong words. The right question is “Am I still willing to grow and keep establishing the path”.
There are going to be change in directions, depending on seasons and accessibility but the important thing is to not stop. There will be times you will realize that you are holding the map all wrong , but you will also have to keep in mind that the map is yours and yours alone, no one is taking that away from you and so you can always hold it right and trace back some steps and eventually stride forward on the journey . The best part though is, you decide how small or large each of your stride will be.
All you have to remember whenever you are in doubt again:
Who has the authority to whatever there is in your life?
– The answer is to listen to yourself and you will know reasonably so but we all fall victim to this, and it is no one but you. This regime of yours is captive to its own beliefs, this is how it should be. But if you are making this authority of yours captive to the beliefs and lies of what you see in other, remember it will falsify everything, it falsifies your past, present and also your future. It will also pretend to make you feel everything is right, and you will agree to it most of the times but listen to your inner self, you subconsciously always know if it’s right or not.
I will remind you again that the authority over the actions you take are in absolute control of your will. If you forget this, that’s when the confusion will overtake, but now you know how to overcome this, listen to yourself, deep down there is that voice that knows.
It is in your best interest to never dive this regime of your life to someone or someone else’s idea because it is no one but you giving permission to everyone but yourself to have a vicious , strangling and stultifying control over your entire life.
Your thoughts and those voices from within are natures manifest upon you. Just don’t forget to pay attention to these thought nor let these voices go unheard.
